Not really.
The 1-3 remakes are outsourced to the Octopath studio, who do their own shit. If they were remaking 6 DQ games, that would be a decade of the studio working on just remakes instead of their original projects.
Hell, 1+2 wasn't even planned as part of the project, it was supposed to just be DQ3. They only got added because of the positive reception to the idea back in 2021 (that and because those two games would be incredibly easy to remake if you're already doing 3, and the same cannot be said of 4-6).
In addition, the "Loto Trilogy" branding on the games outs it as a singular project focused squarely on that, rather than some grand attempt to remake every DQ game into being the exact same game visually and in gameplay (sucked for the DS remakes, would suck even more if the first 6 games all looked and played (mostly) the same).

Yeah, it's one of my favorites in the series. I first played it when it launched and it took me forever to get through, but I loved every moment of it. Guides were basically non-existent, and good luck figuring out which tablet in the guide that you overlooked if you only sought a guide out after being stuck for a while.

About the only changes I'd want in a remake would be an adjustment to the way jobs level up (if your character level is greater than 10x the job level, you get 2x job "XP" per fight, makes levelling newly unlocked jobs easier as well as ones you might be swapping to just for some skills), make it so you didn't need to fight 50 battles as a job and then switch to another to learn the hybrid skills, and putting an NPC by most churches who you can use to change jobs. The radar from the DS version can stay.

Best DQ. Dilate, III, V, VIII and XI fans.

And this game really makes you feel like you are on a big adventure like almost no other game can.

I love DQ games, even played both PSX and 3DS versions of VII and even I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
The 3DS version fixed the early game problems, sure. But other problems are still there. For one, it's really infuriating to have your team forcefully change the way it does because plot, screwing up your job progression and throwing a wrench in your overall party build.

I grew up on NES and SNES games, and those, particularly the RPGs, made things a little easier than it might be for someone who didn't. There were still a bunch of spots where I got stuck and either had to trek through all of the areas, past and present, to find an item or shards, or to find that one particular NPC I needed to talk to. I had a friend who was playing through it as well and we compared notes at work whenever one of us got truly lost.

That's one of the reasons I like the series. Most of them are really good at conveying that sense of adventure. VII just happens to really fucking nail it. Definitely agree with you on the episodic structure bit as well. Each area you go to with the tablets feels like a self-contained story, and then you start going back and discovering how things changed and eventually discovering the links between them.
