wtf happened to PC gaming
That 0.1% of games is still a ton of games. Consoles only ever have like 5 titles to play before you have to get a new console. One that doesn't let you play the last generation stuff.

2. That's how it's always been (remember those disks with shareware games in their dozens?)
3. Why-PC-gaming-isn't-shit is because it's an open platform (that's also consequently easy to develop games to) and people uploading their school projects and such comes with the territory
4. When Steam tried to curate their library (even with Greenlight), they had trouble getting in excellent albeit niche games, like Dominions or Gary Grigsby's War in the East, and "presence of kusoge" is a much lesser problem than their absence
5. Any realistic method of game-discovery doesn't involve simply looking at lists, but e.g. following word-of-mouth within communities with similar tastes as yours (that's how you would discover e.g. aforementioned wargames), and Steam itself offers many such methods besides
