I just started a new playthrough and got to the new DLC mission aboard the Heartless. Holy fuck am I glad that I picked a psyker bladedancer execution er, nigga singlehandedly had to carry me through the final battle against Sargona (everyone else died; Solomorne died instantly)

The only quest with a truly annoying bug atm is Jae's Act 4 one since that can softlock you if on Ironman, otherwise you can always make a save before entering the Footfall Sewers

Which is the problem. Game has a really strong companion roster to the point it's hard to pick your team because you don't want to leave people out. And he is just another Dogmatic character saying pro-Imperial slogans. He can't compete with all those other psychos, autists, edgelords and schizos you have in your team.
DLC adds really cool, sovlful Archetype, nice origin in Arbites, nice quests, shields etc but he just kinda exists.

He is Carth-like character. I guess I would put him higher in rating list of Carth characters and of nigger companions like Jacob. But it's just not enough here.

Eh, other than Pasqal, Abelard and Heinrix everyone else is very forgettable. Kibellah is fun theme wise but never has any dialogues or anything useful to contribute so she may as well not be there even then.
So you still have plenty of room to fit him, except by the last legs of the game when you suddenly get dumped like five new characters last minute.

Even if you skipped all the redundancies of her and Idira having the exact same schtick of giving you information of what is going to happen so you can choose the right dialogue options, her actual dialogues beyond that are just spouting random uppity shit that, again, could be done by just about any noble character ever written in any medium ever.
At the end of the day it makes no sense for her to leave the ship, and when she does, it's still retarded.

To answer this question, a human ship brought them there unknowingly. It's not exactly a bad spot to set up shop, since the maw has a gate leading directly to one of the major battlefronts against the tyranids. It'd be a real shame if the warp storms subsided, and instead of reinforcements, more fucking tyranids came through.

Finished my second playthrough with both dlcs. Was cool. I'm not sure how I feel about having to do a complete playthrough for every dlc but I like the game so I guess it's cool. Next playthrough I'm gonna go psyker, never done that. Everybody seems to say go Pyro but I don't want to do that. Anybody got any cool alternative tips?

TLDR: 6.5/10 quite mid DLC, Solomon is boring, companion pets are okay, reactivity leaves much to be desired, new bosses are fun, Overseer is fun

Okay so I made it all the way to Act 5 with Solomon. Played everything Lex Imperialis had to offer, and I have to say it was disappointing. Compared to Void Shadows quality, this new DLC is pretty weak. Solomon introduction was that interesting or shocking as Kibbles introduction, I wasn't very excited to meet the Adeptus Arbites companion at all.
Solomon’s personality is flat, boring even, and sorely lacks the nuance or inner conflict that made companions like Pasqal and Argenta stand out. His VA isn't that great either, he is just a generic white guy with a black paint job.
When compared to Kibbles he gets overshadowed greatly, "Domin".
His companion quest is equally underwhelming, offering few surprises and little in the way of emotional or thematic payoff. His reason to spy on you are simple "I was told to do so", again no personality. There is barely any reactivity from other companions on his quest and doesn't integrate very well with the main story. It was too short to or felt like that, since most of the time Solomon was gone doing who knows what and he just shows up later.
Despite all that, the new encounters were fun but not very challenging, I liked the first boss the most.
My thoughts on the Overseer class, It's fun but not viable in higher difficulties. This game is designed around rolling initiative first and nuking everyone on the screen before it gets a chance to act and do the same to you. Tanks are not useful at all, and the shield doesn't make them survive long either.
The Coomrag torture for Solomon was lacking.
I would also like to add that the Eagle familiar is stupid OP, after testing and trying some things I figured it can do crazy AoE and damage. It was fun.

Voids is just better dlc in every aspect, my guess is that Owlkek moved their workforce to different projects and took money from Rogue Trader's dlcs as granted.
