Personally I would like it more if it could have an identity of its own instead of waving various dead mascots around and wearing their skin.

It’s hard to really talk about the gameplay, it’s a simple but fun platformer with some cool use of the dualshock controller. I was surprised how much they got out of just the triggers, seems like something nintendo would do.

I played this game a month ago on PC via streaming. I liked Mario Odyssey more, which I also played on PC on an emulator. The problem with Astrobot is that all the core mechanics were already invented in free demo, and the game itself is just a set of levels. If you played Astro Playroom, you can more or less consider that you played the whole game.

That is how it's suppose to work. Someone makes a good game and then a bunch of derivative games expand on it. They add more of the fun parts and take out the parts that weren't fun. They have the benefit of feedback and a complete game. So every Nintendo game that is a "masterpiece" will have something that comes after that is better.

The poo chi aesthetic is weird and gets weirder when almost everything has it and the only things that don't are the most generic looking things ever. Other then that the game is pretty good, It's about on par with Mario 3d world though somehow even easier lol.
