There's three: roguelike, roguelite, and Roguelike. Note the capitalization: a standard rougelike isn't like the game Rogue but like the namesake of a kind of ruffian. This kind of game has the randomized runs where you start from scratch, but aren't necessarily the dungeon crawling clones of Rogue. The furthest you can get from them before veering too off track would be like the Mystery Dungeon games. They maintain the label of Roguelike even if they have meta progression since they are, in effect, "like Rogue." In contrast, roguelites don't play like Rogue and their randomized runs contribute to a clear sense of progression. Honestly, this one shouldn't even be a thing, but people use it to mean "procedural generation" as if that's some kind of genre in and of itself.

I thought taking a break from Elin back in January would mean I'd have a shitton of new content and story to digest later in the year. Granted, there IS new content, but he's only added like, one or two new 'quests' that are just dialogue between NPCs since then.
