>>715377289Honestly not really, the Fate collab is like three to five hours of content total outside of the characters and while I thought the story handled its characters well and reflected the collab characters and Fate rules off the existing Star Rail lore in a cool way, the collab itself felt oddly cheap (half of it unvoiced, though they at least give a neat in-lore reason why, and the final boss being just one of the existing bosses reused is extremely lame).
The writing was about on par with what you'd expect of the early/middle parts of FGO Arc 1.
If you particularly like Fate, and are already playing or interested in Star Rail anyway, I think it's cool, but unless you just really want to play as Saber and Archer, it's not the most compelling reason.
I will say they handled the Grail War rules in a fun way that felt faithful to Fate's style of writing and made you wonder things in the same way Fate likes to. I absolutely fucking LOVED the Rider reveal especially as it was such a wonderful moment that only works with the context of the Fate collab, but is only meaningful in Star Rails context. Really great moment.
