I dont think the Legion enslaves tribals, they either ethnically cleanse them or force them into the Legion military they don't have the option to be slaves , but yeah the Legion enslaves a lot of the Mojave. Anything or anyone that is seen as a threat is absorbed, destroyed, or enslaved that's just kind of how they do things. Doesn't mean that the Mojave becomes some tribal slave state, it's just an authoritarian tribute state that practices slavery.

Yeah the gameplay is too short for it to really be satisfying gameplay-wise imo. There needed to be more interactions with wildlife and pre-war stuff to look through. It has a lot of good elements, the vault dwellers that turned into plant monsters, randall clark, national park prewar shit, caravans, joshua, natives, etc. It needed more from the whole happy trails caravan part and maybe encountering the 80s or whatever, and then more quests and things to do in the park itself before the battle.

all this to say, on release dead money was a mess, ran like shit because of its gas clouds or w/e the fuck and caused tons of crashes, same shit as fnv, difference is you will inherently always have more people playing the base game than any dlc, so people came around to patched fnv faster than patched dm, at least that's my big stance on it
obviously some people who had terrible builds got assfucked by its design, but i think the godawful indefensible performance of it on release contributed at least 50% to its reputation

yeah, but the Solar Scorcher SPECIFICALLY is only available Special Encounter where you go through the Guardian of Forever to pre-Fo1 Vault 13. The weapon may not even be canon, let alone how implausible it'd be to end up in the hands of an NCR Ranger.
At least weapons like Plasma Rifles and Super Sledges are common in Fo2 era New California.

Awww no way. Fair enough. If you liked NVB you would definitely like th3overseer's mods then. Oh that's one thing I forgot to mention, his mods also have the thing like in NVB where if you do shit in one mod it carries over and has some consequences in subsequent mods, which is cool.
If you like bounties, you can also try Five aces, iirc it felt a bit unpolished, but it was still fun. There was another mod, Into the Deep that I thought was decent.

It's more packed into a smaller worldspace with a few important locations to look into, an overworld that's very straight forward and then a more mazelike tunnel system underneath that can be a bitch to navigate. I think what I really liked from it was that it tried new mechanics that you just don't see in other mods. There's this whole walkie talkie thing that I thought was really neat. It feels like a mini metroidvania almost, with a fairly interesting story, characters, and interactions.
