not quite the same, but the last of us basically started the "big man protects little girl" genre in it's modern iteration, since bioshock 2 didn't have quite the same impact

Is the girl from Prism Peak actually barefoot for most of the game, or does she wear sandals throughout the whole game? The advertisements show her barefoot but the trailers show her wearing sandals.

This will ultimately determine my choice of me buying the game.
