I cried playing Yakuza 3, 6, and 8. It's sad to see my HERO, Kiryu J. Kazuma, pass the torch, but it had to happen. I don't think I'll continue with the LaD series anymore since it's changed so much since my first impression of it in Yakuza 0, I don't even think I'll give the Majima spinoff a try.

Thanks for reading my blogpost.

Ichiban is not a bad character but a bad protagonist.

He's a bad character too. He has 2 emotions
-overly joyful anime protag
-bawling faggot
All of this is wrapped in faggot middling morality where "DONT BELIEVE FIRMLY IN ANYTHING BESIDES SOME PLATITUDE ABOUT LIVING IN THE INBETWEEN!" Give me a fucking break dude.
>Cut him some slack he spent his best years in prison
It may feel like the world stops turning the moment you go to prison, but you don't magically stop aging. Ichi is dogshit, and the writers have no fucking idea what to do with him. We're 2 games deep on Ichi and he still isn't the protagonist of his own story

>totally new and original MC guys
>literally spends a gorillion years in the slammer for a crime he didn't commit like Kiryu
>older than Kiryu after like 3 games when he gets out

I don't know what they were smoking when they came up with such a genius backstory

I think Ichi could have worked if 7 was about grown man on the downhill seeking some kind of justice as he watches the declawed yakuza being buttfucked by the Koreans and the chinks. Instead we got my little Yakuza: friendship is magic, where ichi makes bowls of chilli and collects cans for money.
He's such a gay failure to launch
