The game would have been much better if you could not refine endgame spells from the start and you could actually draw spells at a decent rate instead of fucking 5 per draw

Being able to play Fisherman's Horizon was how I got through those long car drives in FF15. I don't actually remember any music from 15, because of how much I associate FH with that game.

I played this game while I was really depressed and I didn't like it. Draw, draw, draw, draw, draw, draw, draw, draw, draw, draw...
I beat the game at level 15, because Griever one-shot everyone while I was level 11.
The game is piss-easy even if you avoid every battle possible.

The story isn't interesting. I don't care about any of the characters -- I thought they were all annoying or insufferable. Squall basically only says "I don't care" and everyone else gets no dialogue other than Rinoa. Ultimecia is a typical antagonist that only gets explored as a character at the very end of the game.

The controls suck, the maps suck, the dialogue sucks, the story sucks, the characters suck, the combat sucks, and the soundtrack is good. Also, Ultimecia looks badass. 6/10

There's just something about this game and my childhood. I'd replay FF9 but the battle shit is slow as fuck.

The FF series really peaked on PS1, OSTs included, but I think at this point XIV has the best soundtrack by sheer volume alone.

Most Final Fantasies each have a multitude of excellently composed musical tracks/themes which pair wonderfully with the character/area/situation. But, even when just listening to the musical track alone and appreciating the sound, FF8 is TOP 3 for Final Fantasy soundtracks, yes.
And that's 80+ tracks, not just "less than a dozen."

Nobuo Uematsu is a brilliant man. We were blessed to have him compose music for video games. He's a very big reason why "Final Fantasy" became so famously popular; his music is phenomenal.
