I like both Mario and Sonic. Mario has the much better library overall but Sonic has the better world/characters. The Sonic live action movies are at least passable where as the Mario movie sucked

Mario. Mario doesn't have Shaow the Hedgehog,, Sonic 06, Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic Chronicles, Sonic Boom, and Sonic Forces level disasters.

This is the real strong point of Sonic. Mario is good for when buying the WII or switch for your kids and having a game you know you can trust , but when he's anything other than that, he gets BTFO'd by sonic, like the movies like you stated.

Mario is better on average. Sonic hits higher highs and lower lows. That's about it.

Mario is more consistent, Sonic is more interesting. I like them both, Mario always has pretty fun adventures and while Sonic is messier the highs I get with Sonic I can't get with Mario.
