Me too man. it's funny, when I was a kid PS2 always seemed like it never got the best Star Wars games and now Sony gets all the new ones.

It's a full spectrum issue. Their games were unintuitive compared to half life or halo where interactable objects were without the shadow of a doubt. But that was rare. You have to go around banging your head against the walls in most games of that era. Halo had people who had experience in filmmaking and graphics design and so knew how to frame the scene for people to find the button they needed to press. They understood proportions and color. The graphics design in that era of star wars games was dogshit by comparison.

I beat all the games, didn't I?
Which is also how I can tell you Kyle Katarn and the story surrounding him kinda sucks.
With Lucas clarifying that Jedi don't marry and The Mouse nuking all previous lore, there was a perfect opportunity to reboot these games (and also the Stackpole X Wing books, Corran Horn has the same issue). Unfortunately Disney are faggots and now the franchise is ruined

Yeah except Lucas' company approved of all these games, he even had a direct hand in some of them, and I don't care what Disney does.
I think any time Lucas has ever said "oh no I didn't write that EU stuff" is just to shut down pseud film critics who are trying to blast him in every interview.

I never get to use this
Also the Revenge of the Sith movie game is genuinely good. As I kid it unlocked my love for NPC buddies tagging along with the player and helping you out in combat. I really enjoyed having clones popping up as my backup on the purge levels.

Honestly fair, I just wish he figured out things sooner I guess.
The distinction between the old Jedi order's worldly detachment with a general "love for life" and Luke's order being about human (or nonhuman) connection is already kino, suspecting that it more or less happened on accident and that since Lucas is an autist supreme he would've shut things down had he planned it out does put a damper on things

I don't think it's as good as people say it is, but there are a few things that make the game noteworthy, like playing/seeing Anakin's attack on the temple or the alternate ending where he beats Obi-Wan.

If you haven't, read the ROTS novelization by Matthew Stover. It's extremely good and approved by Lucas. Your ROTS experience is not complete unless you have seen the movie, read the book, and played the game.

Everytime I play an old Star Wars game I just get mad at what was taken from me. I used to love this franchise and now I'm not wanted here.

>current plan for AotC is "sit them down for a lore dump" then let them watch the 2003 Clone Wars

DF1 and 2 level design was kino. It's only after Raven took over the series that it went down the tubes

Reading the ROTS novel as a teenager made me want to become a writer. I loved it that much (I loved the film as well). That book is filled with so many amazing lines/scenes. It's brilliant.
