For a western game (that is still in development), I thought Monster Girl Dreams had decent combat and writing, but it's majority text with some images periodically as I recall (not certain). Corruption of Champions and related releases from Fenoxo have cool gameplay systems in theory, but the writing is all over the place, and again, almost no art. I will never understand the Akabur games meme...they're all just boring grindfests with middling writing and barely acceptable erotic visuals...even if there's an okay amount of them. For a western lolige release, Unteralterbach had both great art and (to my memory) funny writing for the time. Overall, it's more like 90% of the industry is text, and actual art is an afterthought UNLESS they use a 3D model/anim rigger. Many games do this to cut down on costs, though they end up looking the same and not being so memorable.
