Remove limited lives and make full wipes respawn you inside the tower, and people would figure it out most likely.
Pugs would only have to assign tower soaks, make sure they bring enough phantom jobs/interrupts/tanks (if you respawn at the start after a wipe you'd be able to respec jobs if you'r missing anything). For final boss it was discovered you can bait rune axe and holy lance assignments on whoever you want for the most part, so you can delegate those mechanics to people you can trust.
