Lae'zel is the "speedrun to sex" choice among all characters. Shadowheart has some hidden story checkpoints that wont let things develop until you've pretty much finished Act 1. Karlach has very clear story checkpoints that the game is very up front letting you know about and mean sex is only going to happen later.
