To this day it boggles my mind that Spyro character designs spearheaded the "soul/soulless" meme. They were always shit, especially when put next to Crash, which had an infinitely more charismatic cast.

Filtered. The original Spyro had an art direction inspired by Looney Tunes, with cute and charming character designs. The new designs of the monsters and enemies goes counter to this, and is just scaliebait or morbidly ugly for no reason.

Also, the dragons were supposed to look natural to blend in with their land. They weren't supposed to be decked out in tons of clothes and wacky shit.
