The chinese banned the game after 5 months of release because it had "simulated horse racing and gambling". Which is bullshit since all gachas are basically gambling, but whatever.
I think the real reason was because they didn't want the game to compete with HSR since they came out around the same time in china.

Identity V is fun as fuck, and it's not even a gacha, you unlock survivors/hunters as you play (gacha is just for faggy skins)

I just think GI does it way better with names taken from IRL cultures. Sure it's a little ham-fisted (Mondstadt and Snezhnaya sound really stupid to Germans and Russians) but at least it's an effort. There are still PLENTY of Chinese-inspired things in the game
