You get beginner missions that give you character tickets for several meta characters. You also can create your own banner. The only thing behind a paywall is exactly 1 alternative costume for the main character. They also stopped making limited costumes besides collab characters. It's extremely f2p friendly.

Probably the easiest I can think of. I started as f2p in February after getting tired of Nikke's dailies, here they're quick to do (10-15 minutes max with sweep clears), you get tons of summon tickets/gems and free daily rolls that can get you some good stuff. Gameplay is kind of like a puzzle once you how front/vault attacks work but some units are clearly metas if you want to do high end stuff or are into pvp autism. Story is so-so, last packs have been underwhelming but apparently they want to shake things up.
