If you can use it to earn money - yeah.
I it doesn't have a coin slot and it's just a low quality emulated reproduction - hell no!

I'm not the target audience but it seems silly to me. 8 inch screen but too bulky to be portable. You could get the arcase controls separately if that's what you wanted, and play on a better TV/monitor.

Usually the point is to set them on a kitchen table or something and play them. Idk how many people actually do that though, the stand up replicas seem to be more popular.

>Is 250 dollars a fair price for arcade game?
For a genuine arcade board that could be a reasonable price or even damn cheap. For a full cab complete with a game, thatd be an insane deal in working condition.

But you posted a plug in play emulstion device. Its a toy, and will lose most of its value fast. Theyre nigh impossible to re - sell when you inevitably either A, get tired of the novelty of "having" an arcade game or B, begin to feel like this little piece of shit bar top isnt a real arcade game because it isnt, its a toy, and youll want to replace it with a real cabinet.

Take my advice: do not buy. Either emulate, buy a console port, or get an empty dynamo or candy cab to stick the original game board into, if you go this route you will have to know your shit though.

I should have specified, I have never personally had sexual relations with an arcade cabinet, but I have seen many artistic renditions of fuckable arcade cabinets which have piqued my interest and ignited an admittedly strange and persistent fetish for me. I am a technophile in a sense.

mame, and if it had a CRT in it. CRT's are notoriously annoying to get in decent quality, and while it's cool to play some games on my 4k screen, some games really hit different on that classic CRT. Linus did a video on it a while ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_-9Rw5CJNE

Without CRT buying a cabinet is the most fucking pointless shit. If you're already a PC gamer, and you're not springing for a CRT cabinet, the best move is to just buy an arcade stick and call it a day. CRT is the most important aspect of the arcade cabinet. You can replace original hardware with an emulator no problem, but you can't replicate CRT feel with a filter. It's just not the same. CRT is the key.

Why did arcades die the moment that 3D graphics were starting to hit their stride? When I was a kid, there was a local convince store near me that had the Out Run upright cab. There was also an arcade in my vicinity that had the deluxe moving OutRun cab.

>Why did arcades die the moment that 3D graphics were starting to hit their stride?

If anything they were losing their popularity since at least the early 90s so before 3D graphics were decent, when the PS1 and Saturn came out people saw that they could play games like Tekken, Ridge Racer or Virtua Fighter at home with only a slight downgrade in graphics, many people played in arcades because home consoles couldn't compete with arcade hardware in terms of performance but those new 3D capable consoles things changed, this only accelerated their decline.
When the Dreamcast became the first actual console capable of having perfect ports of modern arcade titles there was no point in spending money in arcades aside from the novelty factor and the few notable exclusives that it had.
