I have yet to make my verdict on Hypnoshark. Yes, his Crash run was entertaining, but something about it seemed off. Maybe it was his entourage, or the slightly over the top hype. I understood there's a thing called "Playstation nation", which those people are part of, which played a role in that.

It's a shame he pretty much fell off the wagon, those runs really caught on here, probably because Worms Armageddon periodically took off on /v/ so a lot of people had at least some basis for understanding why those runs were skillful as all fuck, especially when they didn't go to plan and he was improvising a solution that was still amazing.

It was pretty funny whenever there was a playstation nation run because all of a sudden the room would be packed full of people then the run ends and you see how quick that shit emptied. No matter what run it was, they'd empty, they didn't even give any other runners a chance. I think it's pretty obvious as to what happened with this year's SGDQ IMO. Sent comes off as a people pleaser and a massive pushover and staff in particular took advantage of that by strongarming him into getting their own and their friend's runs onto the schedule. I think its absolutely no coincidence that the first GDQ where he's head of programming is the GDQ with the most neporuns on it.
