The thing about AI that's cool to me is that it will let anyone make AAA quality games meaning we won't have to pay attention to AAAs because the solo dev Timmy will be able to make similar looking games in a fraction of the time(because no cumbersome bloated corpo structures getting in his way).
Like AI can't do 3D yet, but it will be able to model something like this eventually. People who can do that now can get jobs at companies like Square Enix but then the suits will have them modelling benches and stupid shit, rotting away in a cubicle for 5 years making some 7/10 game that probably bombs and then he gets laid off. In the future, AI will do all that and then that guy with no job because of corpo greed will be able to express his ideas on his own, without having to hire a bunch of people which is impossible for indies.
And because he's not greedy he'll sell his games for cheap. And since there will be tons of others like him using AI to make high quality games, the price of games will organically drop. Take Two in the meantime will be having a fit and other companies that are finally releasing their 6+ year long projects will probably have to fold because everyone will be buying the flood of new unique AI games instead of the long awaited trash fires.
That's the way I see the future unfolding.
