Seriously, why are they an expensive brand now? I'm 100% a poorfag but I was able to afford shit for all of their systems pre COVID Nintendo. Bought the Wii, Wii U and Switch 1 at launch mostly because the systems were cheap and most of the cost was on the first party games, plus the third parties are always cheap on their consoles.

I don't get why they pivoted away from being the accessible brand that any family could buy and are trying to turn into this weird Apple of videogames shit. I get that the loyal Nintendo fans with a big wallet are gonna be there no matter what, but how can you realistically grow your brand when you start pricing people out? Obviously I'm salty because long term this shit isn't affordable for me but still, why?

You could go all the way back to 2008. Prior to 2008 was the last time you could buy candy bars for 50 cents and a midnight run to taco bell cost $5 to feed 4 people. My rent in 2007 was $550 then shot up to $800 a year later for no rhyme or reason. In 2020 the same place now costs $2000.

It doesn't help that all their competition shot themselves in the foot several dozen times in a row. MS doesn't make consoles anymore and Sony doesn't make games.

It's not expensive at all for what it offers, did you see the new xbox handhelds prices? Way higher, and they don't come with physical cartridge slot, a dock and detachable joycons. Not to mention that PS6 is going to cost at least $999.
A $10 premium on their most high-quality exclusives is worth it, considering you're often paying only $10 for timed exclusives nobody cares about on other platforms (and even those are rare so you're probably buying multiplats almost always).

This one has updated hardware, more storage, and uses a new type of tech for SD card (a reading speed is rival SSD), and only 100$ more expensive. (the battery actually bigger size than OLED)

I would say 100$ more is fair price for upgrade comparing it with the switch 1 spec

Rog Ally is not an Xbox device, it's a portable PC.
By that logic it being $1000 still makes it a better offer because you'll save a ton on steam/epic store sales and just games being cheaper in general. Nintendo almost never discounts their games and even third party games have to be more expensive due to the retarded cartridge media.
