What are you talking about retard? Every monster besides the boss (who does nothing, and was on the tank the entire time) could be slowed and crowd-controlled. A single frost nova would have let the group walk out. The main monsters that were killing the group were the hyenas, which do massive damage, and inflict a slow on who they're attacking. The hyenas are non-elites, and not only could they have easily been CCed, but any mage should have just straight up killed them with a CoC -> Nova -> Blizzard. All of the ogres besides the boss could also be slowed and CCed.

Perma-death means your death is permanent. If you die, you're a ghost and there is no coming back. Go make a new character. Takes something like 60-100 hours to grind to max level btw.

even if revive spells did work in a raid environment everyone would be dead aside from palakeks who bubblehearthed. I think later on they gave you the option to transfer your HC dead character to a regular realm but I'm not sure. vanilla is such a poorly designed game already and there are so many ways to die to bullshit that it's pure masochism to play hardcore for free.
