Right now the fighting game scene has a lot of decent games as well. And then you would also need to convince players to swap to their game and stick with it (unlikely).
If they managed to release around a year or so after they announced it, then they would not be releasing into a saturated AF market.
Its like attempting to release a ARPG in current year.
