>>715523134 (OP)>>715524349The game starting off too simple is a somewhat valid complaint, but if you only pirated it and played like an hour or so you really can't judge the whole thing. It's not one of those "it gets good 20 hours in games!" because it's not that long, but you do have to put a few hours into it before things start opening up.
>stages gradually get larger with multiple enemy spawn points so you actually do have to think when it comes to splitting up your forces as things get way more hectic>new enemy types start showing up in every stage along with unlocking more roles for villagers, and there actually is a very big emphasis on having a variety of roles for different situations and enemies and even swapping roles mid battle>the different enemy types actually do have different AI that prioritizes different things and force you to take a more active role>some just beeline straight for yoshiro, others hang back and cause debuffs or buff other enemies, there's suicide bombers, there's enemies that can take control of your units, there's enemies that set traps etc.>stages introduce a lot of extra tools and features, such as platforms you can build for arches to stand on that increases their range, drums that dispel buffs from enemies and temporarily stun them, special pads that yoshiro can stand on that provide a buff to allies, etc.>not every stage is straightforward. some have branching paths for yoshiro to take while others have things like having to board boats to cross a lake and using cannons to take out enemies as they approach with certain enemies able to capsize the boats if you don't kill them fast enough>you unlock an entire upgrade tree for Soh which gives new attacks, commands, skills so your base kit does expand and you're not doing the same thing all gameIf you're not just shitposting I genuinely do recommend giving the game another shot. It gradually introduces and expands on the base mechanics as it goes on and becomes really fun.
