Basically my philosophy on most of the roster. If a series is getting a switch 2 game and is a main IP, put in either that series main representative or the main character of the new title. If you haven't had a game since the GCN, you're cut.

Character diversity. To date he's the only non-lord rep FE has in Smash. Imagine if Zelda was entirely repped by Links, that's what the FE roster looks like with no Robin.
