Everyone's opinion of Overwatch would've done a complete 180 if Blizzard's nepo baby dev team actually did what they're paid six figures to do and finish the game.

It's in a good state, player numbers are steadily rising while Marvel Rivals is dying.

It's currently the best its ever been, but the removal / cancellation of PVE is absolutely unforgivable.
WoW's M+ system is by far the best co-op gameplay you experience and it a tragedy that there isn't an equivilent for FPS.

It's honestly the best it's ever been. If they can just add in (good) PvE then it'll be unbeatable. I play MR too sometimes but that game just feels so much worse and "cheap" I guess? The balance is fucked and the meta is god-awful. Overwatch has some issues but nothing which is as game-ruining as what is happening in MR.

Unironically the best it's ever been as a polished reasonably well balanced competitive game, but it's a bit TOO balanced making it less exciting than the old days. Stadium allows you to do whacky shit though, mostly filling that void, and it's enjoyable to switch between the two depending on if you just wanna have fun or seriously game

See I don't imagine there being any gore. Usually I imagine them swelling/exploding like a blowup doll full of TNT, a big fireball with at most tiny scraps of rubber-like material. And since every hero in Overwatch is clearly able to cheat death they just come back after none the worse for wear (and in fact having enjoyed the experience of exploding).

The problem with that is WoW's M+ system would be too hard for the average FPS tard. Retail wow is 1000x more complex than any hero shooter, just based on the sheer amount of mechanics and knowledge you need to have to play WoW at higher level.

They just had to use stadium as a template for some MvM type shit, then tack on a 'story' in later updates. This is the aoe rotation for the easiest class in WoW, and he needs to press more buttons than any support player does in Overwatch, while keeping track of 3 resources.

In the absense of a rivals thread hopefully you can be sympathetic of me asking here, but did they add any new gameplay modes to marvel rivals ? I'd like to get into it but I really hate the core gameplay.

Stadium has been really fun, it's almost all I do in that game. However there's some things they really need to improve on:
Give Illari, Freja, Sojourn, and Brig cuter faces, because they look really awkward in the girly skins. Someone like me would never spend money on them.
