Adult here with a full time job. Can confirm. I only ever have one single player campaign game and one multi-player game in my rotation. I don't have the ADHD to hop between multiple games, nor do I have the time after a full day of work. So I play a couple of hours of the single player game and do a couple of matches of the online multi-player game to get that competitive itch. Having access to unlimited games is worthless to me. What would matter is the actual games available, and even then with how much time I have available it's much more cost effective to just buy the game I'm interested in then pay for a subscription to play it.

it doesn't even take 10 games for the Switch 2 to become that expensive. 512GB of memory is $100 and a second controller is another $80. that's already almost $700 before you pay for Nintendo Online or any additional games.

and if you buy the Deluxe Edition of anything for it's Season Pass, your $80 game just became a $100+ game. so you could only really buy 3 or 4 games before breaking the $1100 mark, which again is before you pay for Nintendo Online.

I hope you realize the problem here. Steam Deck is using 3x more power to render 3-5 extra frames each second. So, you're using +175% more power for just +20% more FPS at best.
It's the same shit as Steam Deck compared to it's competitors within the first 2 years. All of them used 2x-3x more power just for 5%-30% more FPS. Which was never really worth it especially considering they were twice as expensive too.
The Steam Deck beats the Switch2 in it's 100x bigger game library, game forwards/backwards compatibility, game pricing, and usability as a desktop/laptop. But claiming it's performance is relevantly better is just retarded. Steam Deck 2 will be the true competitor to Switch 2.
