Nintendo were clueless about how to market it. Their marketing was suggesting they were targeting young adults but then they release shit like Wind Waker. Xbox had their shit together and knew exactly what they were doing. Generally speaking Nintendo destroyed their reputation with teens/young adults with the N64 and those were the demographics to get if you wanted to sell consoles in the early 2000s.

kek, I owned a GC, Xbox and a dreamcast but never owned a ps2. Somehow I also owned a ps1 and eventually bought a ps3, i have no idea why i never bought the most important system from my childhood gaming era despite always wanting it.
