I pirated it on release and after finishing it never looked back. Radio being busted with just a few songs was my main annoyance.

Modded NV is easily my favorite comfort game. I love going back to it once a year or so and trying out a new build with whatever mods are hot that season. Last year was amazing with a bunch of animation overhauls having recently been released. The game's gunplay and animation QOL is up there with FO4 now, so there's even less reason to go back to that tonal abortion of a game.

I like 3 more than NV due to its maps and environmental storytelling but holy shit NV has it beat on several features, most notable are the gunplay refinements (ammo crafting, ADS, Strength stat mattering for bigger weapons, perks & stats being split into speccing either energy or traditional ballistic) and generally much better storytelling, you can see how rough around the edges it is though some maps are kinda devoid of the "Bethesda charm" of having little easter eggs and details about hidden, That being said I will keep playing using TTW on a single save until my save eventually breaks due to unforseen bugs or just general bethesda game saves shenanigans.

I'm replaying Fallout 4 on survival and I can't decided whether I like it or not
The gameplay is fun. Exploring and having to be careful because of limited saves makes you play this game in a different way. But after you clear everything in a certain area you're just walking across a barren wasteland, and settlements don't really pay off.

Some people like the jack of all trades approach and I'm not gonna knock it. But if you want better gunplay, there are better shooters. Still cynical and more negative than positive, but there was a lot more reasoning and effort put into arguments back then.
