I love moon-faced characters. They are always fucking cool for some reason.

Any downside to skipping the first game? I was much more intrigued with the trailer for the second.

The "nonsense" gets built upon in the sequel, it's arguably part of the plot yeah. Idk the first game can be beaten in like 2 hours, use a guide if you will. See it as a prologue for 2
