I just remember playing one of them on the N64, and it was the first time I played a fishing game that actually let me steer and move the boat around the lake myself (most games either just menu'd it, or had preset locations to teleport to), and it had split-screen to boot.
>>715583398 If we exclude kart games and combat-focused titles, N64 had F-Zero X, Wave Race, Extreme-G, and Episode 1 Racer as notable titles. PS1 just had Wipeout, Jet Moto, and Ridge Racer. The only real starling PS1 had was Gran Turismo, to which N64 had no equivalent.
>>715584195 Granted I should have mentioned PS1 fans of those series were eating well, since they all had 2-3 entries each at the least*

>>715583398 The N64 had nothing significant except for a few rare Nintendo titles. In 20 years, when the guys who played N64 in their childhood are all dead, and people who are forming opinions about old consoles are genuinely playing them impartially, the N64 will start to be categorized with things like 3DO, because of its terrible library full of ugly and unplayable shovelware.

The one racing type the N64 was missing were Arcade-style ones like Sega's Racers or Ridge Racer (even if Cruis'n World is a fun game and Rally Challenge 2000 ain't that bad).and full sims like Gran Turismo (the only sims are the F1 games).
