I couldn’t even figure out how to start a mission or even what I was supposed to do. But then I looked up primes I might want, and wow guess what they’re all ugly as fuck. As a new player, the primary focus should be completing the star chart. Ignore the open worlds, they're content islands for later, ESPECIALLY ignore Deimos because it'll throw deep lore at you so early that you will not possibly be able to understand any of it or appreciate the significance of it all.

If you're new to Warframe, literally and unironically without memeing: Slow down.

The game will never be as much fun as it is right now in terms of challenge.
Just go slow, enjoy playing through the levels, look at stuff, listen to the story, scan things, do the secrets in the level.

If you want a Frame that can do everything and you can get early on (because the game is, generally speaking disconnected content islands) pick up Gara from the first open world map.

Wukong is also very good in terms of being all-rounder (invisibility, speed, limited invulnerability), I don't remember how you get him though or if it it's an annoying quest.

Revenant is one of the few frames with true persist invulnerability, useful for lots of stuff.

If you got Volt or can get Volt (I think if you didn't pick him at the start you can craft him via Guild blueprints?) he's extremely good forever including the endgame and has speed, a powerful shield that both blocks damage and boosts damage, gives the group a speed buff, and even has a aoe spell damage build (though it's a bit of a meme but there are certain farms that he can do with it)

The way Warframe works is each mission type (so Spy, Boss rush, Open world, Defend a spot, Defend a person or object, etc) all have kinda optimal specific frames and not much overlap.
Like for example if you want to rush a trivial Boss as fast as physically possible, it's Titania

The new ones are generally a lot stronger, and most often more fun because they have more depth to their kits. I wouldn't really go out of your way unless you see one that looks fun or there's an easy event to earn them from however, or they're in the circuit rewards currently.

Khora with a Strangledome Augment, but honestly she's boring as fuck to play unless you're doing double pet build memes. Ivara can also do really good looting, but she's more of a solo Warframe unless again you're messing around with dumb builds.

The game stopped being made for me a long time ago.
I logged back in couple of years ago and I was completely lost, because I had played a lot in the past, the game assumed I knew everything despite the game having gone through massive overhauls.

I didn't know where to go or what I should've even been doing, so I jumped to a random planet.
The random NPC's in the city were selling items I've never seen with currencies I've never seen, and the purpose of these items was explained nowhere. The NPC's talked to me as if they knew me or that I'd been there before. To exit the city I had to run along the city wall like in a labyrinth as there were no doors that looked like the exit, and even the door that did let me out of the city was small and indistinct, like some random fucking backdoor and not the "city gates" or something.

Outside the city it was large, vast, empty planes of nothing but snow and ice. I started running in a random direction and in 5 minutes or so, I came across a pack of alien dogs. I killed them with my Acrid and Orthos Prime which used to be the best weapons by the time I was playing. The dogs died immediately, I don't remember getting anything from these kills. I wandered around a bit, not seeing any more enemies and then quit for good.

It'd probably make more sense if I started fresh and the game familiarized me with its new systems, but having all of the hours I put into the game go to waste, no thank you. And the mystique about the frames got butchered with you just being some fucking human pilot. Completely lost any and all interest.

After a certain point, SP just makes it worse. The last update has the final boss with Damage Attenuation. It makes most things take longer than it should, and the enemies die just as easy as anything else depending on your setup. And most of those missions are once a day/week which can be done within a few hours altogether.

There is a difference between doing Steel Path runs, and sitting in Survival for hours just to kill high level enemies for the sake of killing high level enemies or the endgame "semi" raid mission types like Netracell. Most content is only at the 100-200 mark at best, which does not require that much and doesn't limit the viable builds much either. You are equating uber endgame autism with regular gameplay, default Steel Path is not that strong and can be done with most decent weapons and warframes. You don't even need a huge potato investment.

When did you start playing? By the time I had 560 hours and stopped playing, Captain Vor got his model changed and there was this whole cinematic about him. The newest frames by the time were Nekros and Ember Prime.

As someone who got back into it and binged all of the content I missed since like 2020, DE really makes incremental improvements, then completely ignores everything they've learned and fuck up every other major update.
Like Operation Eight Claw was a shit event - Oh boy I want to play an identical mission 50 times in a row for some arcanes I already fucking have from a previous event with a near identical reward pool.
You get enough shit for Oraxia and her weapons early enough that I was done farming after like 18 runs.

Been rocking my Prisma Gorgon for almost 11 years, have 11 Forma on it. First just as a pet project for being my favorite bullet hose but now because the incarnon is legitimately slept on. It blows SP acolytes up and is a decent crowd clearer in general but you do need a good riven. Running it on an Arcane Avenger set up helps a lot too.

I didn’t want to believe it be lit the new Valkyr is fucking retarded, how is holding forward and mashing the melee input to stay invincible as long as you hit shit more mechanically rewarding than on-demand invulnerability that required careful resource management and situational awareness? The rework literally caters exclusively to braindead retards, and she wasn’t exactly complex to begin with. And this is meant to be THE melee frame, the ambassador for like 50% of the game’s combat loop. Maybe they just suck at game design after all
