What do you mean, she has a number of lines that are flirty in the remake like leon looking dashing in armor or wanting to be his partner on future missions or the two times she asks if he's complimenting her and he plays it off. I'm of a similar opinion. I like both games, but they have different appealing aspects.
For the original, I like:
>guns are precise; where the laser dot points is exactly where the bullet will go
>movement is instantly responsive
>shooting range is better: no gacha bullshit
>no crafting
>critical headshot=insta kill
>the way ng+ bonus items are unlocked(remake's speedrun bullshit is awful)
>castle and village stages, particularly atmosphere
>combinable treasures being unique and having specific pieces
>minimal combat RNG: knee or face shot=guarantee melee stagger

For the remake, I like:

>louis more interesting as a character
>ada's subplot to want the sample more developed
>critical chance is useful on all targets, not just ganados
>more weapon and unlockable variety
>the upgrade system is better
>the island stage is much better
>trivial parts of the original now present a greater challenge

Her segment in the remake is altered plot-wise as a means of helping leon out of a trap and is a bit more dangerous. She is also more useful(lots of items can only be obtained with her help) and less of an annoying escort npc. She's not as whiny either. Leon's character got a bit worse in the remake, but everyone else got better(ignoring Ada's questionable VA)

I'm not sure about that. As I reading through it, I recognized most entries that I read until around tier 9 where I started seeing a few that I didn't recognize, but even then, there are things in a few of the tiers after that I know of like the nyx lab tube one from tier 13. I also don't think someone who is willing to put in the amount of effort they did into making the iceberg look presentable (it's honestly one of the highest effort iceberg charts I've seen, from a visual standpoint) would just make half of it up. That seems counterintuitive. Also, the text at the very bottom of the image directly states that nothing is made up, and it lists all of its sources and even includes their name. So if anything, we could just find who made it and ask them directly about the image. They wouldn't put their name in it otherwise if they weren't willing to be asked questions. Call me a fool, but I think there's a lot going for it to suggest that it's genuine.

can leon read? there's no indication he reads the memos you pick up. you fimd a memo that mentions there being three intruding parties to watch out for, and later when salazar says there are two other people he has to take care of, leon acts as if it's the first he's heard of it. he does tell ashley to wait outside before he goes in the building where big cheese man plans to ambush him, but that could just be his own prudence. is there any cutscene or anything that shows leon actually reading?
