These two go together and the only way you missed this is by skipping most of the conversations in the prologue and then blanking out every mention of Pictos throughout Act I.

There's exactly one scene in which she carries the party. Sciel carries her, Verso pump-and-dumps her twice, and Gustav straight up bulldozes her.

Honestly it kinda sucks. I wanted to like it but the companions never talk when exploring and they become entirely irrelevant by Act 3. The reveal sucks as well, the combat is fun but gets boring after 20 hours. It's just not what people in here promised

I'm not him but I found the game easy, even played in the latest difficulty, because of broken build you can do, the bosses were melting too fast and it wasn't fun. Simon was the only okay-ish boss, instead of first turn, he died in 2 or 3.
They also should have forced people to go straight to the final boss after act 2 and give the flying ability AFTER finishing the game as end game, lot of people were probably over leveled for the real final boss.

From then on it's a 9/10 game to the end of act 1, then from there it slowly dips down until it averages out to the most solid 7/10 game you'll ever play.

It's been like 20 years since I've wanted to whack off to a video game character.

The game gets good when you get her in your party, select her as the player avatar then hit the run animation and look at her feet for 40 hours.
