monsters are still made of magic and have little in the way of physical matter but it seems like monsters are also beholden to the rules of light world/dark world in deltarune, where dark world more closely aligns with undertale's rules

They can, I just don't see how you would rank it about either of them. Its just a bunch of generic orchestral sounds doing a generic intense action track, the only thing that makes it Deltarune is the leitmotifs. And the only really interesting part is the tiny synth guitar bridge section. It feels like something I could get from any other game.

Burning Eyes by contrast is this sharp and pounding VRC6 track that has a lot of energy and character to it, and 12 AM is a really moody downtempo track that feels like one of the better songs in a Silent Hill game.

It did me. I probably could have beaten it with a few attempts, but I was exhausted from playing through two whole chapters, so I just save edited to give myself 1000 hp. I think the people here who call it piss easy are probably way better at the game and already had the black shard and mantle to make the fight even easier.
