So since the Crystal Sword basically shows that the console games aren't gonna reuse designs that debuted in Ever Crisis, what weapons are they likely to use for Part 3?

Near as I can tell, Iron Blade, Twin Stinger, Sleek Saber, Igneous Saber and Slipstream Saber are original weapons. So I guess at minimum, three of the weapons will be adaptations from the original game.

What I'm curious about is how they'll handle Knights of the Round, will they make you fight all 13 of them? Also how will the Weapons be handled considering they're giant kaiju monsters and they've been better about keeping things to scale in the remakes than the original did so I'd figure they'll have to retool things to work. I'd like them to finally let us fight Saphire Weapon too before it gets it's head blown off by the Junon Cannon.

You get save bonuses if you have the save files for the previous game, but Rebirth is for all intents and purposes a "sequel" rather than an "update". If you were actually allowed to keep your shit from the previous game, you'd end up with a bunch of really broken shit like Gotterdamerung, an accessory that lets you start every fight with a full Limit gauge and also speeds up Limit accumulation. This would be especially bad in Rebirth because the Limit gauge goes up way faster than it did in Remake.
