I know everyones wondering so ill tell you the name of those adorable little guys.
Spicebush Swallowtail Caterpillar.
>The spicebush swallowtail is found only in the eastern US and southern Ontario, but occasionally strays as far as the American plains states, Cuba, Manitoba and Colorado.

If you're planning a vacation near any of these spots id recommend packing suitcases full of them so you can wipe out the indigenous/ugly caterpillars in your area. Lets spread these babys the the far corner of the earth, they are so cute they deserve supremacy.

I almost started the nuclear stage and dropped the game because it became too time consuming and I realized that my whole nigger-rigged oil-stage base should be remade from ground up to actually enrich uranium
I just gave up and never played the game again
BUT, I love Factorio, it's an actual GAME and a really good at that. It's made by nerds for nerds, the ideal outcome for any game. And it fucking looks good, I absolutely LOVE those 2D sprites that emulate 3D objects just like in early 2000s RTS games. Good tasteful stuff

Not OP but I just tried searching 'factorio' in Google image search and it's the third result. Posting a thread requires an image, someone wanting to make a thread but not having an image to hand will google one, and it's not exactly out of the question that two people would do that in a whole week. Not everything is a repost schizo. If you want to fight the good fight and be a volunteer janny, the guy who keeps posting Crash NST achievement stats is in the catalog right now and I've seen two Temmie threads today already.

Early game dragged on for no real reason
Overpowered shit like Air filters make the game already laughably easy, then you got the weapon stuff
Krastorio was pretty good with Rampant (multiplayer) i must admit, the overpowered stuff actually makes sense there
Too bad Rampant is basically like grinding your teeth against a blackboard for "fun" and you need friends that can deal with the pressure and cooperate

Uranium is way easier than it seems at first. Even without kovarex or a circuit limiter/steam batteries it only takes like 12 miners and 3-4 centrifuges to keep a 2x2 reactor going indefinitely. There's really no reason to not pop down a reactor or two and tear down your coal power as soon as you can unless your preferred solution is pollution.

This diagram was made for 1.1, in 2.0 pumps do not "strengthen the flowrate". Just put circuit conditions on the chem plants.
Also you can get away with not doing any circuit conditions at all in the base game, the ratios will just work themselves out because you need more petroleum gas than everything else anyway

it's storage for the post game asteroid chunk. It only stacks to 1 and the science it's used in requires biter eggs so you're limited in trying to craft the science on site. A single tile of belts can hold 8 items and you can increase that by weaving underground belts like that. Doing silly stuff like that gives you more storage per tile than building storage expansions for the hub (again, because the chunk only stacks to 1)

>Even without kovarex
This game is all about scaling and efficiency. I knew I would have to learn and do everything to progress and leave the planet (which was the end goal of the game at the time). And those nasty fucking bugs kept getting angrier, bigger, and more annoying to deal with. I sometimes regret stopping playing the game, but then I remember it was too much for my lazy brain

I really want that train cannon, though. The sexiest thing. Overall, the trains in this game are amazing. CHOO CHOO

>drop biter eggs among the pentapods in an act of biological warfare
>return minutes later, expecting an arthropod battle royale
>instead they've become best buds, the biters joined the pentapod nests
also I came back hours later and found packs of biters hanging around my base, *inside* the defense perimeter. all my automated egg imports are guarded by a bajillion turrets so I'm left to assume the feral biters somehow teleported past the perimeter.

>This game is all about scaling and efficiency.
It is, but I've found that worrying too much about that early on hampers more than helps you. It's way easier to worry about all that efficiency and scale shit once you've spaghetti'd your way up the tech tree and have a base that can produce another, better base. Premature optimization can be just as wasteful as no optimization.

Pic related, many times I find it much more convenient to cludge some shit together to make progress while you figure out how to do it properly.
