No, after the chinese invasion and regulations on digital entertainment in their colonies, I assume I'll be in a labor camp or dead.
In all seriousness though; yes absolutely, unless something as extreme as my shitpost happens.

38 year old here

I still play games but I get more excited about an emulator getting an update so retro games run better than I do playing a new AAA release.

If you're 38 years old you should have the original hardware instead of doing soulless emulating

I'm 33 and I've already had a couple of instances where I "quit" video games because I felt like I had outgrown it just to pick the hobby up again later
The first was when I was 18 and again when I was around 25.

Hindsight is 20/20. When you're a kid and the shiny new toy comes out, the old toys get donated or just thrown out, especially when your parents have no idea what you have on your hands. Your generation doesn't have to worry about that because you'll never own anything, and anything physical you do own is garbage anyway.

If videogames aren’t in ruin like where all entertainment is going at the moment, then sure, why not.

You're nearly 40 years old, you should have enough money to spend a tiny bit to get the original hardware anon.

42, and I’ve slowed down considerably. Even 10 years ago, I was playing every new FotM game that was coming out, and could easily spend an entire weekend playing a game, but anymore, I just don’t feel the motivation all that much. I start thinking about other more productive shit that I could be doing with my time. I don’t know if it’s just a sign of getting older that everyone goes through, or a side product of my dad dying of cancer a few years ago getting me thinking about the limited time that we have or what.

Now, it’s kind of the same way I feel about anime; I was borderline obsessed with it for 2/3 of my life, but I’m kind of grown out of it now, but I still like the idea of it on paper, and certain franchises or creatives will bring be back every time.

Basically this >>715608389

You’ve just got to find something that gives you purpose and fulfillment. For some people, it’s a family, and for some it’s a creative outlet. Video games and shitposting online are basically emotional junk food, and can’t be everything you do, or you’re going to feel like shit sooner or later.

>people
which people? I walk down the block and see loitering niggers on gibs doing nothing all day
>family
have you seen the divorce and virginity rates for men recently?
according to statistics young men are much more willing than women to start a family, according to surveys the main obstacle is their financial situation while for women it's also their indipendence
>creative outlet
ok that's a good one

…or you can just make excuses to justify doing nothing, pissing the years away being needlessly depressed in “gamer fatigue” threads, where you and other anons lick each other’s wounds, and pretending like it’s everyone else’s fault but your own that you’re depressed until you eventually hit middle age, and look back in horror at all the time wasted.

I’m just speaking from experience, but as they say, you’ve got to let people make their own mistakes.

>or you can just make excuses to justify doing nothing
not sure what you are doing here but at some point one must ask if the juice is worth the squeeze even and whether you should keep the running wheel spinning if you don't even get the carrot but only the stick
>where you and other anons lick each other’s wounds
literally nobody is doing this
>and pretending like it’s everyone else’s fault
surely not mine, I was brought in the world in its current state, didn't have much of a say
>you’re depresse
but I'm not depressed
>I’m just speaking from experience
never in the history of humankind we had a dating market like this, all your experience is invalid unc and only advice you can possibly give is also not applicable anymore
