Mega Man games are simply too fucking ballbusting to appeal to a wide audience. Fucking Castlevania games are more fair and forgiving than the average classic MM.

The second game has a more conventional camera system since the second game was made after twinstick dualshock controllers were being adopted as the standard (while controllers didn't have sticks when the first game was made), but I still greatly prefer the first game over the second since the game was more interconnected with its own world, and also looked better since the models were bigger. The second game uses smaller models, which is better for gameplay but not so much for visuals.

Chronologically speaking everything is one continuity from MM1 to ZX, so it's a bit of a loaded question. When you say "spin-offs", do you mean something that isn't part of the main continuity, or something that isn't part of the 11 games working off of the original series?

The only spinoffs that come to mind are the Battle Network/Star Force games, and very specifically The Misadventures of Tron Bonne since that was a spinoff of the Legends games (which have a point in the series continuity). You could maybe include some of the handheld entries as well, but those are stuff that can either be dubiously placed in the continuity or at a point (Mega Man & Bass) where continuity doesn't matter.

Megaman has like 30 games. Give that nigga a rest already.
