>>715637486>How is Wo Long?Decent after all the patches and DLCs. There's no stamina, base attacks are free. Instead of stamina, there's spirit, you rapidly accumulate it by deflecting and doing light attacks, you spend it on martial arts, spells and guarding. You gan go into "negative" spirit, but if the bar becomes completely red, any attack will guard break you and leave you open for a long time, usually a death sentence.
Levels are like smaller Nioh levels but with jumping and verticality. There's an NPC helper system, they are mostly there for your first run, in NG+ they become useless.
Magic system is amazing. Not only all the spells fluidly combo with melee and martial arts, there's a wuxing system on top of it. You can cancel enemy spells by using the correct counter element, for example an ice boss cannot use his aoe attacks if you have an earth spell, it will cancel the ice out.
The game also really wants you to do all NG+ cycles. It adds new enemies but also gives ng+ gear up to 6 martial art slots leading to impressive combo potential. Then in the endgame it gives you a roguelike mode alongside the ability to improve and swap martial arts around. Plus bosses on ng+ drop new spells, between 3 DLCs there are nearly 40 new spells and all of them are amazing.
The only big issue with the game is the morale system, it kinda forces the game to flip flop between "bullshit hard" and "too easy" depending on the amount of flags and exploration you do on the level, but patches made it so you can control its cap so you can essentially set up your own difficulty in exchange for better drops.
