Weird-ass games like Spider-Bot are my jam.
Also the Bip-bop saga is great.
Old-ass PC games just hit differently.

the jank part is pretty pc/cpu bound because i never had camera failure or dialogue failure when playing the first gothic. gothic 2 had those but very rare
combat is good, why didn't he mention combat animation change with the trainer? was he trying to safe few graces for elder shit games because if he did then it would obliterate elder phonies out of proportions? the jank part were geometrical design though.

nta but I think it's fine in games with huge open worlds since it's very easy to imagine monsters/bandits migrating around and repopulating while your character is spending weeks or months hundreds of miles away. It would be a lot more weird if big chunks of the country just stayed entirely empty forever

Point and Click adventure games make for the best Game Dungeons because most of them are weird and he can riff off of the weirdness, like Armed and Delirious.
That said, Baldies is still my number 1 with his tangent of how to look good bald.

Sup everybody,

Most of you probably already watch my streams, but for those of you that don't I have an announcement to make. After a long period of inner conflict, I have come to the realization that I am transgender. This will of course mean that any further harassment of my person, via YouTube videos, comments in chat, or reviews of my game, will henceforth be transphobia.

I'm not going to beg for you to accept or approve of who I am. This is about me, not you. Those of you that want to spew vile hate can eat my entire ass.

Oh. And by the way, it's Samanthor now.

I think he means it in regards to endurance not applying retroactively to your health values, so if you want to max out your life, you need to have endurance at the highest possible level asap. But even if you play the entire game with 40 endurance, I don't think it's that bad or important, or could be considered a screwup. I think he's being too harsh on Morrowind.

The most popular ones on youtube currently are all a tranny propaganda echochamber and I think Ross probably wouldn't even know where to begin if he wanted to pander to trannies in a video. I'm not quite on Ross's autism level (or rather my autism is more focused on mechanics if anything) but I can still immerse myself by learning to appreciate the actual human work that goes into environmental detail
It's actually why I don't care for modern games that are so high fidelity, everything is just realistic slop and all the work is in details that are literally impossible to discern naturally when playing the game
in older games you can actually see individual animated or visual effects in the environment and visualize the human being who thought about that effect and put the time into implementing it and getting it right
playing a bunch of games with the same staff and actually paying attention if they're the same staff and how elements have been carried over or improved also can help increase your appreciation or enjoyment a lot

for example I'm personally interested in the new DK game solely because that internal Nintendo dev studio originally started with DK jungle beat, and then they went on to make future 3d mario games and seeing elements in stuff like the galaxy games lifted from jungle beat was really cool to me when I finally figured out why I was getting weird deja vu when I originally played it and now it's almost come full circle since they're doing DK again 20ish years later
I'm not autistic enough to read every single name in the credits with a fine toothed comb but the japanese seem pretty good at passing talent down to younger developers and giving them a chance to do their own thing too, which lines up with what I've read about the quality of working at Nintendo as a first party developer compared to basically every western studio which drops talented staff as soon as they find a brown person who takes a smaller paycheck

or you could just cheat and use weed, that makes you feel like a kid playing games again and you basically get immersed for free

Imagine stumbling around like a zombie unable to think, do, or care about much of anything until you bumble into some game nobody's heard of or you get a retarded idea for a video and suddenly it consumes weeks/months of your life and you start neglecting everything else even harder. I mean, you probably don't have to imagine but I'm going to die living this way if I don't get things under control on either side of the problem.

I'm more confused about Morrowind story being "so-so".
Or that Oblivion's soundtrack is "couple good tracks, rest is forgettable", since people usually either find it all forgettable because generic orchestra, or wonderful from start to end, maybe partly because of nostalgia (that would be me).

Ross, that takes like 3 days to happen in Oblivion and Morrowind for non-named NPCs (which are like 90% of the dungeon inhabitants in morrowind), and Skyrim has it set to 30 days.
You can also change this to your tastes if you aren't batshit afraid of the console.

You can do a lot of fun and stupid shit with just a video editor, some text and a copy of photoshop mixed in with some gameplay or chopped up footage of your favorite/most hated TV shows. Look at the videos people used to make in the 2004 - 2010 era of Youtube, it's basically just curious and autistic kids playing in a pirated video editor. I'll bet half of them got actual careers out of that dumb shit.

I have one diagnosis on depersonalization/derealization and another on ADHD which others in my family have to varying extents. I wound up looking online to see if there's any kind of comorbidity between the two and it looks like there is which would make sense given factors of how my mind works (always 'bored,' always ""thinking,"") and problems that come with growing up with unchecked ADHD (constant lectures/getting yelled at, constant introspection on why I can't do what everyone else does, intense social anxiety, etc). Kind of just trained to either zone out or obsess over something.

I don't like trying to play pseudo-self doctor here but I've also come to realize that 90% of doctors will throw their hands in the air and go "Gee, I dunno what's wrong with you. Have you tried just being normal" unless you bring something to the table other than just your symptoms.

About to go on stimulants once my health insurance comes back online which worked VERY GOOD for one family member.

Apologies for the extended blog post

There's a difference between acting normal and being normal. I can act normal just fine, that's not going to help with the realities behind executive dysfunction, constant physical and mental fatigue, focus, etc. And then because you seem normal your problems and experiences are dismissed by the people around you.

>passcode to understanding what and why you are the way you are
Yeah it's mostly being born into and growing up with an undiagnosed neurodevelopmental disorder and suffering the internal and external factors that come with it, then having to pick up the pieces on my own as an adult where people care/understand even less about the issue. There are things I can do to help myself in some ways but no amount of moxie or "get up and go" or "sunlight and hard work" or "think positive" is going to just magically solve my problems or fix the physical wiring of my brain.

>Today we are going to be looking at Heartbound
That would be the worst Game Dungeon episode either, because Heartbound isn't even a videogame. It's 99% walking simulator and furry dialog, and 1% "gameplay". Compared to the game it's copying, it's actual trash. There are no words to do it justice. I don't even recommend pirating it out of morbid curiousity. It's a waste of time, a waste of bandwidth, and a waste of universal entropy.
