Cranky Kong is the Kong who kidnapped Pauline in Pauline's future, and Cranky's Past
Cranky is a time traveler. He and DK Jr. went back in time somehow, and DK Jr. named his son Donkey Kong, who would later grow up to be the Kong who kidnaps Pauline and fights Mario.
That's how we can have the Country games take place after the arcade games, and Bananza take place after the Country games, but before the arcade games.
