What's the correct way to play this game?
The first boss on hard mode is beatable (I got to his second form first try after learning easier perfect parries) but your abilities feel nonexistent. Your dodge sucks, your jump sucks, your block sucks, your attacks suck, and all the enemies have hyper armor. It seems like the only thing the game wants me to do is repeatedly perfect parry and perfect dodge.


Am I supposed to be whittling down damage sponges for 10 minutes with the only noteworthy damage coming from fatal attacks after I perfect parry them 8 times, then repeating that another 4 times?
Does the game want me to grind skill points to increase my damage?

Outside of the virgin image posting this game was pretty good. I still think doing two desert maps was lazy and if you look at how LARGE the homebase city is you would have thought there would be more innercity missions instead of repetitive desert and sewer missions

Can I still get the lost memories ending if I max out Lilly's meter? I'm on NG+ and it's the only ending I'm missing but I'm also trying to pick the outfits.

Each main story event adds 20% to the Lily meter
Start Abyss Levoire with somewhere around 70% should be safe because there's a few datapads in there you might pick up that add to the Lily meter
Then rush to the space elevator afterwards

The combat system is built around perfect parrying. You'll want to do it in every fight. You're at the start of the game so your kit is small, but you'll be perfect parrying throughout the game.

There is a Training Mode in your skill tree. So you can see what a lot of what's in there and play around with it.

I got some of that feeling already, knowing the best time to rush, to beta attack, the fact that you can't readily cancel a lot of attacks into each other however you can cancel attacks into parries. I can tell there's a flow they were going for, it just feels different than any other game I've played.

Do you mean at the end of the game, or just using the Symbol of Legacy? I don't think the endgame kills do but if you use Tachy Mode with the earrings, yes it'll count.

Better yet though, since Tachy Mode is weak as shit, using Scarlet's Ultimate works as well, and kills a lot more efficiently. I wore her outfit and farmed the parking garage enemies on Eidos 7 for it. Took me like 5 minutes or so since you can gather up like 6 or 8 of them and nuke them all at once.
