It's fine to start now, especially since you could gun for the walpurgisnight banner units.
Although you might have to grind, playing through the story doesn't require the resource advantage old players have.
Story is solid in my opinion but it's harder to compare it in its entirety to complete stories when this is an ongoing story, we don't know where it will end up. I like the individual cantos for the characters though.
Soft sequel since the Library is stuck in the Outskirts, it has a few cameo appearances from LoR guests in terms of main story but nothing central.

The chance of getting an EGO is 1,3%
So if you calculate 0,987 ^200 you can see the probability of getting an EGO after 200 rolls is only 93% and considering the low chance in the first place that is hardly guaranteed
The chance of getting ids is even lower and specific ids dont have a guaranteed chance to show up if you roll a 000, unlike EGO which always show up when you roll EGO if you've emptied everything else in the pool

The term "powerful" in the context of team is misused. In terms of raw power, charge was arguably the most powerful team archetype in the game. By using one, you would most likely have no trouble winning your clashes and using the ID mechanics. Simple, easy, and strong with the charge effect greatly boosting skills.
The reason it's ranked so low is because other archetypes, while not having exceptionally strong skills except for some outliers, had the status effect themselves to shit out ridiculous amounts of damage to this day.
And today, the identities of these archetypes even have what made charge IDs powerful: skills being vastly powered up by their status effect PLUS having their own unique buffs, making them what we call meta. You need look no further than today's release to see the difference between the archetypes today.
This of course does not mean charge is weak. It's still powerful, but the "issue" is that it does not deal as much damage as the others. With charge you'll never two-turn a sloth-weak boss with T Corp. You'll never blast through waves of bosses like bleed or rupture. You'll still win easily, in fact i'd say you'll have an easier time thanks to the power charge boasts. But again, you'll never deal as much damage.

I used both of the new IDs, Multicrack Faust, W.Corp Outis, LobRyo, and Full-stop Hong.

I used Faust with the idea of using Fluid Sac to get my SP up quickly but didn't end up needing to. It really only takes a single good run to clear 90% of the missions. If you manage to get KoD down to sub 600 health before QoH uses her big laser you probably didn't get hit 5+ times. As long as you're focusing on clashing and killing the swords with your two special sinners you should be fine.
I restarted a LOT if turn 1 didn't work well. I swear I was flipping tails 80% of the time.
