I really didn’t like the demo, the dig mechanic felt a little clunky and dealing with the platforming was obnoxious. I got annoyed at that one part with the two moving platforms and one was on fire.

I did love the artstyle, I thought the weapons were neat, all the people on the boat dying at the start was brutal, but there was something about the gameplay that felt purposefully clunky in a way I didn’t get. Getting through the bosses I just end up spamming dig after every attack rather than thinking I should look for queues

I found a wild mouse once that was acting weird and seemingly not afraid of people. I took it home on a whim and it wound up getting deathly ill within a day. Then I saved its ass by tending it for a week with pedialyte and bird seed and it made a full recovery and lived another 9 months.

Speaking of Yacht Club, I recently tried Shovel Knight Dig, but honestly didn't really click with me. Not even because I dislike roguelikes or anything, I loved Shovel Knight but playing Dig just made me wish it just more Shovel Knight. Granted I can get why they wanted to try and do something different.

Shovel Knight was great and all, but I hate when an indie company hits it big on their first game and just beats that fucking horse to death and then some.
Getting a proper new game out of them has been overdue after the millions of spin offs.

I'm not a grafixnigger but the style and quality of this game's art is too fucking disgusting even for me.

I tried the demo and it wasn't good.
The gameboy aesthetics on a large screen are unbearable, and they're trying to do too much visually without being japanese devs (aka it's not working), it all looks messy and unpleasant to play.

Also I expected some fun gameplay loop and satisfying cool moves, instead the combat is just "hardcore pattern memorization" which is zero fun.
