Darkstalkers' original animation wouldn't transcribe well in a 3D setting WITHOUT proper attention to detail so that alone is asking too much from modern Capcom. No, buying those arcade collections wasn't going to get a new Darkstalkers game and I hate all the people who got mad when I said that.

Sad but true, every modern darkstalkers fan just knows the franchise for morrigan, Felicia and maybe hsien ko. Maybe q-bee if you are really stretching it.
But for some reason no one cares about the actual protagonist that's supposed to he Demitri.
Something similar happens with kyo kusanagi in king of fighters, but to be fair king of fighter has a lot of different protagonists.
