Yea the DeS opinion would be nostalgia and originality rated. From a pure game design perspective I go back and forth between Sekiro and AC6. I beat Sekiro charmless/bell and S ranked all of AC6. I also feel DS3 is underrated. It had the best multiplayer and bosses. The first part of DS1 before Anor Londor is 10/10 but the rest is 5/10. Bloodborne if it got a remake might be the best its just such a slideshow.

This means that the game is actually more difficult, because if you get hit with a big attack and aren’t reactive enough you’ll die with spare HP. I don't know if this is the actual reason from designed the controls like this, but I understood that I shouldn't be using the triggers that much to move the camera vertically, only for minor adjustments, unless you like the playstyle of jumping around with reverse joints and bullying the enemy from above, but that's a little more advanced
at the beginning you should only worry about moving the camera up and down depending if you or the enemy are bunny hopping, but only small adjustments, because at least to me it doesn't feel like you should be moving the camera all over the place
then you should just learn to bunny hop and how to dance around the enemy while keeping them in your sights and you should be good for the 3 PSX games

The overall mechanics in AC6 were pretty decent, only thing I think they need to do is make enemies more of a challenge to fight and further polish the combat system.
