They are okay if they are small. I'm in a Discord server for an in-development game with less than 80 people in it, and it's okay because the only person who posts there is the developer, and it's always about the game progress. I'd also post there, but I prefer talking to the developer directly. But I'm also on some other, larger servers, which I keep on full mute except for the news and update channels. Those are cancer, and I wish there was some other way to keep up with the game news.
