Now that Stop Killing Games as basically already enshrined into law and companies are scrambling to cater to our needs, what do you guys think about a new campaign?

I call it "Stop Billing Games".

The initiative would state that it's illegal to sell any games in Europe more expensive than 20 Euros.

MAKE GAMES AFFORDABLE AGAIN!

>B-BUT THINK OF THE POOR INDIE DEVELOPERS

There are no indie games worth more than 20 Euros

>B-BUT BIG COMPANIES WILL STOP SELLING GAMES IN EUROPE. IT'S NOT FINANCIALLY VIABLE!

Good. If they want my hard earned cash they will have to figure out how to make it financially viable or FUCK OFF

>B-BUT THIS IS COMMUNISM

You are communism

>We demand you make your always online games offline available
>No? Ok then let us own it and we'll host the servers btw the main character is trans now
>No? Ok then leave them online forever
>No??? What do you mean no its clearly a consumers right???
That roach guy is 100% right. You are just retarded.

I don't know what this is about but every time I see this guy's goofy face in the catalog I smile

All that's going to change is the little disclaimer they're going to put on the box to tell you servers can go down at any time

I just don‘t get why you would want legislation to get involved with how devs make games. There‘s more games being made than ever and even a company like sony can spend hundreds of millions on a game only for it to flop miserably and be shut down within two weeks. Let the market decide what succeeds and if people want to support companies that make their games unplayable then so be it. Not everything in our lives needs to be regulated by the government

Corporations keep killing games no matter if they succeed or fail, so clearly the free market is incapable of changing this.

Or we could stop trying to make this Gamergate 2 and have a nice thing?

how about making entirely offline single-player games available offline without a check-in with a server or log-in in some service?

That's not how it works. Are you a programmer? No? So shut the fuck up. This kind of stuff is complicated.

It‘s about wether people support those companies after they‘ve killed games. If you buy a ubisoft live service game after they shut down the crew servers i don‘t know what to tell you

Somehow it was the default for gaming for many years. Like player-hosted servers.

Next would be for gaben to make steam pay so he can get even fatter from all the porn games that aren't purchaseable with credit cards.

Private servers have existed for years. And this is without blizzard freely giving out information on how to do it. Quite possibly the most retarded attempt to discredit SKG.
